Exclamation Can Anyone Help Identify This "Antique" .22

This belonged to the great-grandmother, who used it to rid her yard of varmints way back when (she never missed!). The only ID marks are an ELG stamp (Liege, Belgium), star over Y (inspector's mark?), Double 0, N, and GJ all located on the 24" octagon barrel. There is an additional star over Y mark on the receiver frame. Take a look at the photos for mark locations. Would like to get it repaired (believe its missing the case ejector) and need a to know who manufactured it and any other info you can share!

Thanks!

You appear to have a "Flobert Rifle, with the plain action"...They were inexpensive SS rifles imported from 1850-1932 and in most cases are in fair to poor shape.
The Belgium made rifles are copies of the French Inventor Auguste Flobert...Most have no rifling left due to the early corrosive ammo that was used...

i have a reproduction of the 1902 sears roebuck catalogue...... on page 310, i see three .22 rifles for sale.... yours appears to be the more expensive one..... "flobert rifles".... it sells for $2.60, and is billed as " the safest rifle for boys"..... i tried to scan it to send the page , but i am a computer clutz...... its in the computer, but i cant get it into this website... they also advertise a .32 rimfire rifle..... if you like, i can try again to figure the damn computer stuff out to send the page to you...... its a neat looking rifle, and you really must keep it in the family.....
