What side mount base for a Cooey .22?

I have a Cooey Winchester model 600 .22. I want to mount a scope on it, but I have no idea what side base to use. It is older, probably mid 70's or so. It has 4 threaded holes on the side of the barrel, beside the safety. I am thinking I should use a Weaver #2, but I'm really not sure.

Can anyone help me out?

If you use the charts at the Weaver site, (See below) I come up with a #2.

Thanks man. I am also unsure about the rings. They have both high and low, and I'm not sure which I would need. I'm only putting a small 3-9 x40 or so on it, so I'm assuming low, but I just want to make sure.

The gun is looking sweet. I just sanded the entire stock down, waiting for some warmer weather so I can varnish her up, and start blasting rabbits!

The rings are more difficult to figure, and this is best done in the shop where you can try different ones. As a general rule a 40 mm objective usually takes the medium size rings, so you are kind of in between the low and high choices.

With respect to the stock, have you considered using an oil finish? It can be much easier for someone at home to do well, and in my opinion at least the final result is more classy. Maintenance is easy too, as if there is any scratch you just use 600 wet/dry sandpaper and more oil to touch it up.
