Wal-mart has the Ruger 10-22magnums sitting around , don't see why Scheels has such a problem. Two years?

Here in Tucson, off Speedway. At least they had one the last time I checked. It has been a while, maybe they aren't readily available anymore.
Here's a review with some chronograph data, it would be a great little varminter:

AMT made one, it sux @$$. I'd recommend it for a canoe anchor.

Grendel made three...the P-30, the P-31, and the R-31 carbine. They kick fuzzy buttock!! Only hiccups...use CCI hi-po rounds and keep the mofo CLEAN. Kind of expensive at auctions...best prices found at pawn shops

Currently made below...

Ruger makes a 10/22 magnum...in some states it's hard to find...but well worth ordering.

Remington make the 597, I've not played with it yet. But Remington has always done well in the quality category.

Currently NOBODY makes a .22 mag pistol in anything other than Single Action...mostly because they don't wanna get involved with the headache of the cartridge...even Ruger will tell you that making the 10/22 work properly in .22 mag has been a LABOUR...

Kel-Tec is Grendel...I email them on a monthly basis asking for a New P-30 or at least SOMETHING that fires the .22 mag...no luck yet.

.22 mag auto

Ruger does not make a 10/22 mag anymore. Some where on the web theres a letter stateing why. Very easy to one if you see one because of built in scope mount on top.

Don't waste your money on the AMT/High Standard...High Standard changed NOTHING from the original AMT schematic so it's likely to be as much of a boat anchor as the original. I wouldn't ever PAY for anything AMT put out, but I'd be willing to test one for a month or two with 5,000 rounds and write up a serious review

Graphite barrels...will wonders never cease?? I'd be VERY interested is seeing how well Magnum Research's graphite barrels work. Especially with folks who tend to put THOUSANDS of rounds through their weapons per year. My graphite arrows have some serious long-lasting tendancies but I'm curious as to how they'll work as gun barrels...melting properties & all that...

By golly you're right, Ruger has discontinued the 22 mag 10/22. All the offer on their website is the 22LR version. Didn't they at one time also chamber it in the .17 mag?

Old .22 mag semi's

The .22 mag of Marlin's is still in mfg, the High Standard model 700 tube fed and the BRNO clip fed semi take down model is very pricey but worth it! seen a old rusty BRNO go for over $600

yes, ruger discontinued the 10/22 magnum. as for graphite barrels, its MRI's term for carbon fiber. MRI's barrels are at the top of the heap when it comes to accuracy.
