Walmart has a 4-16x illuminated mildot for about $70,forgot what brand it is.
I'd personally go with this walmart scope.

I just put a Leapers Bug Buster, 5th Generation True Strength series 4X32 scope on my kids Gamo Shadow pellet gun and it works great. In fact, it replaced the piece of crap BSA .22 scope it came with. WOULD NOT EVEN HOLD ZERO. First shot dead on, every other shot every where else... Put the leapers on, extremely consistent. Have to sight it in again though. Moved it back more for better eye relief so have to start over. GRRRRRRR

What's he want for it? Tell him you'll give him #30 bucks for it. Tell him you can get a new one for $60 bucks...

I found a used bushnell sportview 4-12 AO for around $30 at a gunshop between springfield and Reed Springs, MO that I mounted on my .22 mag. (some of you may know which one I am talking about, I don't recall the name, but great guys with low prices). It works great! I'm doing some 125-200 yrd. testing. Very clear, no problems and it holds true. The only problem is that if a target or critter is in the direction of the sun, forget it. Find a different angle. Just something to think about. JB
