The .22 Long is still around because people ask for them. I heard a guy ask for ".22 Longs" in Wal-Mart a while back. The clerk asked if he wanted long rifles. He said, no, they are for a revolver. No sale. Kind of like "do you walk to work or do you carry your lunch?"

I have a Rossi clone of the old Winchester pump rifles. I shoot shorts all the time for fun plinking. If I found some longs, I'd give them a try.

Took me a second for that to register, he wanted longs not long rifles because they were for a pistol. Don't know whether to laugh or cry.
