| Browning Buck Mark
Just bought a Browning Buck Mark in stainless steel. I have always loved how these guns looked, and decided to get one. It is really a tack driver, but I have 2 complaints. 1. The bolt doesn't stay locked back after the 10th round. 2. Occasionally, the magazine will drop out after the 10th round. Aside from that, I am really in love with it. Here is a picture of the model: |

sounds like you probably have a bad magazine.

At the range one time a guy let me shoot his Buck Mark. I loved it! Brand new that day and shooting tacks! I decided I wanted one but thought the slide grip was a bit small for my big hands. Got a S&W 629 Classic .44mag. instead. I have a Ruger Mark II with over 5000 rounds through it and want another 22 pistol. I like the new 10 shot S&W revolver but too much money for a target gun. Still looking at B B M's though. Post a target if you can. We like show-offs in that requard.

I have a Buckmark that I have owned since about 1996. Never has 'shot tacks', though it is an okay shooter. Recently I began seeing a lot of 'light primer strikes', someimes only half a magazine would fire! So I stripped it for cleaning. The front half of the firing pin fell out! ![]() Gotta order one from Numrich.....

Ouch Big Dog...how many rounds did you fire before you broke the pin? I'll post a target. 10 yards produced 2 inch groups, with the center of the group very tight (There would often be a hole in the paper the size of a nickel due to the number of rounds going through). I also found it to be lots of fun to put clay's or cans at 50 yards and then try to shoot them. I'm about 1 out of 3 at that range, but its fun seeing the bullet hit the sand bank, and also seeing the small delay from bang to impact at that range. |

The pistol has a few thousand rounds thru it. The new FP costs ten bucks - I'd rather do the fix myself than trust my gun to the tender mercies of the shipper.

I've been looking at a Micro with a four inch barrel, are they accurate for range or H/D practice for the wife?
