With the CZ or for that matter any of the rifles you mentioned in the original post, I would consider either the 2.5-7x Weaver rimfire scope or 3-9x AO Weaver rimfire scope. Another good one for the money is the Mueller APV 4.5-14x if you want more substantial magnification for target shooting. That is what I have on my CZ 452 Varmint 22LR. Have the others mounted on various other 22 rifles. I think it's worth a little extra money to have a bit better quality scope without truly breaking the bank on something like Zeiss or whatever. The Leoupold rimfire scopes are excellent but cost a bit more than the Weaver. I would avoid Barska and Simmons. Do choose a "rimfire" scope versus a scope for a center fire. Oh, by the way, I would choose the CZ over the Ruger 77/22. Some of the Rugers are tack drivers and others are so so. Don't have much expereince with the Browing T-bolt. Nice sporter rifle however and I feel sure it's accurate. Last edited by 22-rimfire; 10-27-2009 at 10:19 PM. |

Don't overlook the CZ 513. You're going to hear a lot of crap about the non-adjustable trigger, but it really doesn't bother me, just treat it like a double-action revolver. Once your scope (get a scope, you wont regret it) is zeroed, you can hit anything you aim at inside 100 yards. I haven't tried anything further simply because I have nowhere to shoot at those distances. I got mine from Green Top for $230, new. If price is of the essence, go with the 513
