highpoint

yea i'm back but just for this thread so don't get all grumpy!! i just wanted to let everyone know what kinda company highpoint is. you see i bought a used highpoint carbine from a guy and had it stored in my shed(too long of a story) well anyway after huricane katrina the power was out for a week or too but when it came back on a fire broke out in the shed and my highpoint had a meltdown(severe) well anyway i called highpoint and asked them if i shipped them what was left of my gun would they look at it and give me a parts list of what i need to fix it they said sure no problem so i sent it.well i got a email today saying they were sending me my gun back but the only thing wrong was they won't give me a parts list because they have allready completly redone the gun and sending it back to me free of charge.the guy said we stand behind our guns 100% i guess 100% means 100%.and in the email he asked me if i knew of anyother gun manufactures that would stand behind thier guns like they do? i guess we know the answer to that one don't we.:cheer:

One of our club members had a similiar experience. She bought a broken Highpoint carbine from a co-worker, e-mailed the company, and got a replacement part free of charge. It wasn't a major repair, but how many companies do the same?

I'd stick with the carbines myself.

They were great about the used carbine that I bought and sent in for maintenance. Outstanding service.

I was under the impression that the carbines and the pistols had an identical action. Just the barrel, stock and other minutiae were different.

Thumbs up

There is one other company that would do as good - Henry.
Both are sterling examples of companies that will go out of their way to make the customer satisfied. Little companies still remember that repeat business is their life!
The Big Corporations forget this. The bean-counters in charge would never do such a thing.
My Hi-point Carbine is still going strong! :right:
