Well, apparently every single person who visits this forum "has" a CCW permit, so I figured I'd ask some questions (what the frack does that stand for anyway? Carrying a Concealed Weapon? Concealed Carry Permit?).
All Righty, here they are:
1) What is the age requirement (21?) and does it vary by state?
2) Is there a limit to what sort of firearm you can carry? (If I felt like concealing a riot shotgun in my pants, could I get away with it?[Just pretend it's possible])
3) Is it valid all states, or just in the one you acquire it in? Would I have to go to every state and get certified to be able to carry in that state, or do they have mult-state courses?
4) Do you need a permit to keep a firearm in your vehicle, and if so, what is it called? Could I keep a semi-auto carbine under my seat, and a handgun in my glovebox?
If you feel the slightest inclination to reply, please do so, it will be greatly appreciated.
I take it that some of the answers I will get will vary from state to state, but give me a general answer (e.g.; if its ONLY illegal in one state [like California] don't tell me its illegal because I live in Georgia). On second thought, if you live in California, don't reply to this post.
If you've got the time, please elaborate. If I sound a little whacked out about the whole shotgun in the pants thing, just bear with me...these are all serious questions
Thanks Fella's, and have a great night,
Jeff
