| If you're talking 223s, consider a Saiga or WASR rifle based on the AK action. Quite accurate and the maximum in reliability. Other AK based 223 semis are available and reach AR-15 prices with a lot more to offer.
The Mini-14 is an option if its limited accuracy is acceptable to you and if the factory 5rd mags are sufficient. Some of us are tentatively boycotting Ruger for past anti-RKBA activity, and would recommend you buy only a used one.
And of course there are the many varieties of AR-15.
