I had a Nice Contender outfit years ago...All 10 inch barrels, most of those were the Hex barrels, lets see...5mm rimfire, .22lr, .22 hornet,.222, .223,.30 carbine, .30-30, .357/.38, .30 Herret, .44 mag , .45 acp, 45LC/410, .45 Win Mag,...I shot silhouette 100 out of 100 on 150 meters turkeys with the .222. That barrel was a tackdriver. I sold mine to buy land here in Alaska.

Just the facts...Guns come and Guns Go but the land will be here for a while! (at least I hope so) AND, I had the Last set of Sterling Silver Buttplates ever made for the Contender, Bought the last 2 from the factory in the 70's ! Most people never even seen em before!

Something tells me my High Standard Sentinel isn't gonna be enough to get land in Alaska

I bought 5 acres of bare land for $6000...the Contender paid for almost 1/2 of it!

I have 10 acres of prestine desert land. I already began to build my anti-zombie compound. :right: One day I will pass it on to my insane and paranoid children who's heads are filled with my zombie domesday propaganda

12" scoped 35 rem, 10" 45lc/410, 10" 44mag, 10" 444 marlin. I do not know much about silhouette, but I am learning thanks to Mooseman and the link he gave me.

Before I bought one, I thought Contenders were kind of a silly concept. But after stumbling into handgun silhouette shooting, I purchased one and fell in love with it. Now, I have 5 barrels, although I'm selling one, and it would be one of the last guns I'd ever part with. DAL |

I love my contenders. I bought my first one from my dad. It came with a 10" .44 mag hotshot and a 10" .222 Rem. I have since bought a 10" .45 Colt/.410 and a 10" .357 mag. I keep that one in pistol configuration at all times. On the second frame I have a .204 ruger 23" and a .375 JDJ 23".
