| How old to be a Cub Scout I would like to know how old does a boy have to be to join the Cub Scouts? I figure around 5 or 6 correct? |

| Tiger Cubs are first grade. Cub Scouts proper starts at 2nd grade. Boy Scouts starts at 6th grade. |

| Dallas is correct. Cub Scouts start at age 8, Boy Scouts at age 11. |

| Super Moderator    | I was nine Y.O. when I joined Cub Scouts. Had lots of fun and learned some important things...like how to tie a "crown knot" which I can still do today.
