I run a dry cloth patch and check for leading....then I run a patch with a couple of drops of BUCK gun oil w/teflon and let it sit for a couple hours before running another clean dry patch. I pull the patches from the breech end. You get a bit of teflon coating in the Bore that reduces friction=faster pellets.

I run an oiled patch down my Silver Streak every 3-400 rounds it generally comes out very clean, I also add a few drops of light machine oil to all the hinges and seals at the same time. I have only had mine for half as long as you have had yours. It's great for getting rid of all those tree rats infesting my yard.

Any idea where you can pick up a .177 cleaning rod? The barrel on my new break-barrel pellet gun is already getting dirty, and I've got nothing close to what'd fit in the thing.

Heck, even just a stick I could shove in there to push some cleaning patches down the barrel would be cool.
