Hi-power or CZ-75?

I am a target shooter in search of a good target pistol. I've always liked the function and DA mechanism of the CZ-75, but I like the reliability and look of the FN HP. Plus I've never heard anything bad about the HP. The HP is also a bit cheaper than the CZ75.
Any input?

I've never shot one, but I've heard that the Hi-Power is hard to shoot real accurately due to the trigger system. Have you looked at the EAA Witness line? They are basically a copy of the CZ but are much cheaper and have a great accessory line. A lot of IDPA\IPSC shooters are using them.

I personally have not tried the CZ75 but I have shot the Hi-Power. It is a well Made handgun and I found it comfortable and accurate to shoot with a very smooth trigger pull. Every gun is a little different in the same model due to todays mass production and sometimes one may need to be Tuned a bit to the shooters liking, some are perfection right out of the Box.

Actually, toolman, the CZ isn't much more expensive than the EAA, and you get the "Name Brand". I think I'm leaning towards the FN Hi-Power, since I'm in it mostly for the target shooting and DA/SA doesn't really affect me. I havn't heard much good or bad about the CZ, but around here, the HP is practically a "Must Have" among serious competition shooters.

I'm a CZ fan. I also like the HP. That said the Browning with adjustable sights can't be beat. I know, I shot against one.

The eaa weapons are very accurate and can be tricked up if necessary. I have a Browning Hi power that is the most accurate centerfire pistol I have ever owned. Can't miss with it. Everyone that shoots it looks like a professional gunfighter.

I have satin chrome Hi-Power with Pachmyer Signature grips and it was more accurate out of the box than 90% of the 1911's I've shot. I had a trigger job done on it and it breaks like a pane of glass at 3lbs and will shoot 2" groups at 25yds with almost any load I feed it. My neice is in love with it and made me promise to "will" it to her.

Well, after all of this, I had had a sudden change of heart and bought a Remington 1100 Classic Trap. LOVE IT!!! Buy one!!!
