Mauser Windage and Mauser Crests

Hey guys, Irecently went down to the range and well, Im not the most experianced shooter out there. I had a senoir member at the range (which had a m48) show me how to adjust my rear sight, I was shooting bullseyes at 25 yards. He pushed my rear sight up to the forth notch. I was wondering were you guys have your rear sight notches at 50 and 100 yards. My new mauser seems to be missing its crest, possibly scratched off? Thanks, Zeek

the only windage adjustment on a mauser is by moving the front sight.

Zeek, You were adjusting Elevation for Zero ! Every rifle shoots a little different as does different batches of Ammunition, So My rifle may be set different than yours !
