Jap date of manufacture code

I forget how it works with the dated codes but I have a type 96 with a date code of 15.2 - HELP

a code of 15.2 translates into '15th year of showa [15 years of Emperor Hirohito or 1940; 2 = Feb. So, Feb 1940.
