Cleaning the CZ-52

I was doing a cleaning session today of several hand guns tonight. One thing that I noticed on the CZ-52 is how much cleaner it was than the others. I have shot hundreds of rounds through that thing and it was the easiest to clean in terms of grime from shooting. When I first got it, I was amazed at how clean it was and the condition it was in. It is still in great condition and was still pretty clean. Sure, it had some powder residue, but was cleaner than the .45 and the .380 I was also working on. They had fewer rounds put through it since the last cleaning on both of those than the CZ.

I wonder, is it the design? The ammo? Or the fact that it breathes fire each shot?

Yeah, I cleaned mine the other day after putting 200 rds through it...it was a breeze cleaning it.

What kind of ammo was it? It could have been a comonation of Ammo and the fact that it breathes fire!

I have been guying the eastern European surplus stuff that I have found either on SOG or at a local gun shop that was selling off someone's personal collection.

apparently it is pretty clean ammo. mostly the stereotype for surplus is dirty, but i guess this is an exeption!

When you say it breathes fire, I take it that CZ52's have a muzzle flash? I've heard that the 7.62x25mm tends to do that and I've always kinda wanted one. I have a Tokarev but it's a 9mm and I haven't seen too many of them as reasonable as I have the CZ52 and I've thought of buying one!

I am looking at getting a tokarev in 9mm. Im sure if i find a 7.62x25 deal i will take it. How do you like your 9mm

I use S&B...finally saw some of the WOLF Gold at the gunshow...was gonna buy a couple boxes but forgot to...

Also had the Gold .303 Brit and 7.62x54 there also...
