You know you can find ammo for 8mm Mauser anywhere and nay type of countries prodction. You've got your Turks, Romanians, Yugoslavians, Germans...wait I've never seen german 8mm fmj for sale, nor where to buy them in bulk. why is that, but wait, what about our Czech friends, they need ammo for their rifles too and hopfully from their own country. So what I'm saying is can you find german or czech 8mm ball ammo?

When I bought my rifle I picked up a box of 20 rounds but it was Federal brand ammo. I could not find any different type of ammo like you mentioned. I wish I could have though it probably would have been alot less $$$$.

Hey, I've seen WWII-era German 8MM, but it's Swastika marked and pretty expensive --late '30s or early '40s production. It was in either sportsman's guide or Cheaper than Dirt, I think. Or some other mail-order catalog. JD |

Hahah you sound like my brother who works as an EE in the AF. He just LOVES all the busiwork they make him do, even as a lieutenant with a 4 year degree-- like ferry around generals for a week waiting on them hand and foot, and supervise men pee into cups for 2 weeks for drug testing (random rolling selection for who does it), and mandatory relaxation exercises that stress everybody out more. I feel yer pain, MM. God bless.

LoL, mandatory relaxation exercises?? Are those the good ol "I TOLD YOU TO RELAX!" kinda things? Our "mandatory relaxation" sessions in the Marine Corps generally involved tons of beer, cards, and guys just trying to see who could out BS everyone else.

I envy all of you, even though my town is still a redneck town, but there is nothing wrong with that. My school ( I use to go to) is funny, here's why: Imagine a town Where city slickers and recnecks meet in one place, That"s Washington, Missouri. to the north, south, and west We've got farmers, rednecks, white trash maybe. that come to Washington ( most of these characters usually are seen at the Washington High School) to the east wev've got people from St. Louis, they're nice people........sometimes. one of my bosses for instance is one of those sometimes. Well city kitties don't really belong in a hick town, especially if your job is at a hick dealership. so I'm trying to find a way to take this"boss" of mine to the shooting range, Of course he geing the target. Why you may ask " andrew why did you waste your time talking about your job crisis?" well it involved guns against a dumb assss liberal who is my boss. Of course everybody now knows I hate my job. I don't know what's better, leaving early for bootcamp, or staying at uor present hellll hole job for another 2 months?

There are many people in America that would love to have a job. Any job. Hate your job if you wish, but be glad you have one. I don't say this as a criticisem, it's just the way it is. Besides two months from now you wil be in boot camp, and they will let you shoot the M-16, so it isn't for much longer. If you think your boss is an A..hole, Just wait till you meet your TI. Brings back fond memories. <G> Nick |
