That would sound cool to me too, but I'd lean more towards an African safari hunt with the game plan being to feed the hungry with whatever is killed.

That would be the difficulty with hunting away from home - how are you going to keep all that meat? Especially if it's a particularly large animal.

Feeding the hungry there would be part of trying to be a friend who appreciates the country's hospitality instead of just some comparatively rich white guy who shows up for adventure and gets led by the hand to an easy shot at a native animal.

mabey you miss understand me all i am saying is that i would not kill the game if it was going to be wasted. also i am not rich and i pratice fair chase any one who dosent has no business hunting .i did not start this thred to start a debate on hunting ethics , rich vs poor, thats why i called it A DREAM HUNT mainly because i'll never have the money to go on such a hunt , pay for transportation ,guide service ,taxidermy and all other incured cost .know that when i am invited to hunt on someone else's land i do appreciate it .i was simply asking others what their thoughs were .p.s.i did not mean to come across as harsh .peace cruzerlou

That's right, I was talking about breaking a stereotype by being cooperative with their needs. Cruserlou's ideas seemed in line with mine.

I had my dream hunt two years ago. I had always wanted to hunt boar so on my 50th birthday and as part of my 30th wedding anniversary, my family pitched in for a dream hunt. I nailed a 250 lb boar. It was tasty!

great topic

I have an adventure business where I sell hunts all over the world including the Kodiak island grizzly bear and many species in Africa as well as my "dream" hunt the Canadian Polar Bear. Like most of you this hunt is a "dream" hunt because it costs more than I make in 6 months. Burd has a great idea putting it all in a combo, I live in Wasilla Alaska and get to moose hunt and salmon fish every year what a blast. Gotta love hooking into a 50lb King and let him drag you around the river for a while. Also just got back from a halibut charter this weekend. All i caught was a bunch of 20lbs and less but we did catch one that weighed 82lbs so that was pretty nice.
Anyway, this is my first post so i just wanted to say hello from AK.
Good hunting,
Justin
