Why did she have to go to the Democratic People's Republic of Califonia to go to school? She should have stayed in the good ol' U.S. of A

Ladies Voices

Well Boys,
Grab your wife or girlfriend, and make them read this.....
Only one in 600 Rapists are convicted.....and, on an average, a Rapist has assaulted 17 women prior to being convicted. (These are U.S. statistics) I just read this from the website of the National Firearms Association, (Canadian) and they are very careful about giving out stats unless they're correct. The NFA has fought long and hard for the rights of gun owners, similar to your NRA.
So....if you Ladies don't want to own a gun, or learn to shoot one....at least send us some reasons "WHY"...then maybe...we can work from there.

I just wanted to add to this.... I live in western WA, so we have alot of mountains and hunting here and learning to handle and shoot a gun is a relief for me. Being home alone if my husband is working, I feel better knowing that if something were to happen I have some way to defend myself. I know gun laws are "strict" for a reason, but lawmakers also have to consider the large number of women who live alone or are alone at times. Guns should not be used lightly, or without caution, but self defense is not easy for women.

Besides....its a constitutional right!!

a little late on the welcome DvlsDarln, but we would love for you to post a bit more about your interest in guns. If you check back again, please do that!

Since it was never addressed, CA does allow concealed carry, it's just not easy to get it in some counties: Packing.org Concealed Carry (CCW), Concealed Weapon Permit, Concealed Weapon Law : Home Select California from the drop down box and check out the maps they have there.

I'm glad that WA state is a shall-issue state and the laws are currently decent for CCW'ers and firearms owners; save for the fact we can't even bring machine-gun parts into the state, much less select-fire transferable firearms.

I Love my wife, she is armed, taught her to shoot, can knock pop cans off a fence post at 40 yds all day long WITH her very own 38 Colt clone, have had her shoot everything I own at least once so she's familiar with how each weapon functions, alas she doesn't like shooting my beloved M1911A1 or the Hi-power. But I have no fear of her ever becomming a victim. Even without a sidearm I'd be more worried about anyone who's assaulting her. She knocked a young gent out cold with a single right hook when he made the tradgic mistake of slapping his wife in her presence.

sorry just found this

sorry i just found this...but, um, yeah...we all need to be armed. there was just a rape in my tiny hometown of about 1000-2000 people, right across from our high school in a housing development...a girl i went to high school with...so:

Women against rape ARE for the 2nd Ammendment. Guns were successfully used in self defense at least a million times last year. How safe are you?

Hey Countrymama!

I agree. More women need to be proactive. A lot of them are afraid of the power of a gun, I am not. Our society would have us believe that being helpless (i.e. gunless) is a good defense. Trying to teach us that cowering in a closet or under a bed is gonna put us out of harm's way. I say screw that!

Hey countrymama! Are we the only two females in this forum?

I agree with you TexasT... er, wait you said proactive. Sorry, I read that as provocative.

But on a slightly more serious note, I know of at least two other members that are of the fairer sex; Mandy and MissSharpShooter. They seem to post every so often. Other than that, I'm unaware of any others, but since we're unable to indicate whether we're male or female in our profile, there could be lots and I'd have no idea.

Hey! I can be both proactive and provocative! It's more provocative when you're proactive, eh?

Depending on what the lady is proactive in? Absolutely!

Now, if it's proactive to ban guns and make sure I have to hand over the ones I have, that's an instant turn-off. But a girl that's proactive in pro-gun legislation and learning to use and shoot guns is rather provocative... specially if it's done in similarly provocative clothing. I'd put a link here to such for the gents, but since the site I'm speaking of contains nudity, I'm pretty sure it violates a rule here. So, I'll just say go look up MovieBadGirls and be warned that the site is Not Work Safe and probably shouldn't be viewed by minors! But... hot girls with guns... it only gets better with fast cars and beer (obviously not all at the same time)!

I don't want to look at women with guns lol. If you happen to have a similar sight with men and guns...that might be worthwhile. Scratch that. Might be equally as scary. I prefer my men scantily clad in aprons grillin' up bbq. Or cleaning..

ROFL!

That's why I said "for the gents."

I'm sure you could find some pictures like that on the internet. I'll bet that there are some fireman's calenders just like that! hehe.
