Wink 1911 G.i.

I purchased a parkerized 45 for $421 delivered with the lifetime warranty. I think that it was a pretty good deal. all i had to do was change the tension on the extractor and it works great after about 3500 rounds(i like to do a lot of shooting)the factory mag holds 7 but the 2 kimber mags i bought hold 8 they all work fine. any thoughts?

A lot of custom guys buy the G.I. or Mil-Spec and keep the frames and then add all the custom parts like slides, barrel, etc.. It is a great gun, I am very impressed with the SPringfield 1911. They can't seem to keep them on the shelf.

Here you go dude. It is not bone stock in any sense, but it looks it and that whats matter.

I put a target match Wilson barrel and bushing with a Chip McCormick mag and had some beveling done on her. Was going to put somw wild Wilson or Kimber bevear tail on it, but they bite a little too hard,so i decided otherwise. She shoots so straight and smooth and the gunsmith is a buddy who did all the work for a 12 pack of Guiness and I got to drink half

A total of 8.
2: Chip McCormicks
2: Kimber
2: Wilson
2: Springfield
The Wilson are the best and too pretty to bang up so I keep the Chips loaded in it at all times. I also have a few hundred Black Talons, Silver Tips, Golden Saber, and 165 grn Hydrshock, but those stay with me and go into the XD-45.

I bought a milspec about a year and a half ago, my first 1911. I'm still breaking it in, but I like it a lot. I got some unfinished wooden grips from Michael Greene in Oregon, finished and installed those. Got a Wilson mag along with two extra factory mags. When I finally got tired of the hammer spur biting me, I took about 1/8" off. I repainted the white sight dots with light yellow acrylic paint, they really show up. Otherwise, I'll leave it be for now.

I bought a stainless one, added a new trigger and skeleton hammer, a Wilson combat Match grade barrel, and Crimson Trace laser grips. Added a .400 Cor-Bon drop in barrel so I didn't have to buy me a 10 mm, too. It's one bad mofo that shoots either .45 or .400 Cor-Bon now.

I just picked one up within the last week myself. The price you paid is right in line with a local dealer around here.

Sadly, the .400 Cor-Bon experiment is pretty well near the end. Just too many stovepipes and misfeeds. So I went ahead and bought the DW Razorback 10mm after all.

And durned glad I did. That gun is one accurate mofo.
