Pheasant Hunting in SD

I'm going to school in the soiux falls area and as such, I can get an in-state hunting liscense. The only problem is I've never hunted before and was wondering if my Minnesota Firearms safety certificate would be enough to get a liscense. Anyone know about this?

Typically, most states accept another states hunter safety credentials.
