P-38 noggin knocking

The P-38 has two little recoil springs. Does anyone have any experience changing them out? I have a set coming in this week. I'm hoping new springs will solve the P38s humorous habit of noggin knocking. This will be the first work I've ever done to a P-38. It ejects empty rounds fine but they all knock me right in the noggin. I rarely shoot it because of this.

i have a p1{later version of p38}.the brass will ocasionally hit me in the head, not very often.change bullet weights or different manufactures.not shooting your p38 is the answer.

my p1{later version of the p38}will occasionally throw brass back at my head.try changing bullet weights or ammo manufactures.not shooting your p38 is a sin
