| HMFIC ![]() | Clothes I imagine we won't have long if SHTF, but what about clothes? I mean the ones are our back aren't always the best for such things. Do you have a stashed bag where you have a set of clothes? Example, I always carry a set of clothes in my car to get dirty with for a tire blowout or worst. I also carry a set of clothes for when I get off work and want to go with friends. I guess I would want a pair of jeans, socks, rugged hiking boots, and a long sleeve shirt for a general SHTF day. ![]()

| I always have two or three changes of clothing with me. For the most part I always have two or three coats with me to. I have invested in those vaccum bags that you suck all the air out of them and they take up about a third of the room. They work great you can even put a tent and other things in them and you will be able to take more with you. I think it is better to be over prepared then under prepared. |

Got some nice gloves for .99 and several camo sweats for 1.99 last year. Remington socks were 2.99,and a great pair of camo boots for 19.99. Got a nice back pack with hydration pouch for 11.99. Next is some gear from cheaper than dirt. [Mole] Also, got a couple of Winchester Knives for 15.00 ea. Keep building the I hope it doesn't happen war chest up. Got everything ready to go mobile. ![]() |

| Super Moderator ![]() ![]() | I'm always prepared. Got the back of my SUV loaded with more carpentry tools than any five people would normally need. May have to build something for shelter in case of a SHTF situation. In addition, I've always got my WalMart special heavy duty work coat w/hood in my SUV with a pair of heavy duty warm work gloves. And...in additon, Ive got some heavy loaded .22's blanks used for blasting nails into concrete in case I need to signal someone far away. Beyond that, I'd be in bigtime trouble.

| In a city where there is a walmart, kmart, target or whatever within 3-6 blocks of one another...one can argue that there are always a few pairs of pants, shirts and coats to be had.

| Senior Member | extra clothes are a major part of my go bag kit and always have the go bag with me. This time of year I have rain gear, extra thermals (top and bottom) bad boy unltimate wool socks from cabelas 2 pairs, a thick flannel shirt, sweat shirt, my carhardt bibs and jacket, stocking cap and gloves. The carhardts aren't part of the go bag but this time of year they are part of the truck, never know. Warmer weather, the carhardts, stocking cap and the flannel shirt and thermals go, replaced with shorts, t-shirts and light jacket. The socks stay the same, I just like them and they're comfy. Throw in a boonie cap and extra pair of sunglasses which are usually in the truck anywho.
