My new dog

first off, my first dog was a beagle i had for 16 yrs and i had to put him down a few yrs ago, the hardest thing i ever had to do, he was blind in both eyes but he was still in good shape and got around well but the thought of him getting something stuck in his eye and he liked to run into things was more then i could take.

but last fall i got a bassette hound puppy
wookit (did you ever wonder how to spell that?) WOOKIT THOSE EARS
each ear now is 9 inch long probly a 22 inch spread from tip to tip, these are yunger pics of him.

Nice looking hound. My daughter just got a beagle, he's about 3 months old now, and i am going to take him out this week to see if he'll hit on a rabbit.

hies a handfull so to say, i thought bassettes were a lazy dog BUT NOT THIS DOG, hies on the go with those little short legs all the time, i dont even have a pair of shoes to wear unless i keep them up on the fridge out of harms way.
he is such a nut and the stuff he does i cant get the camera fast enough to take a pic of.
ill be standing in the kitchen and !!!! stroll in and put his mouth around my ankle just enough to send me through the roof and he strolls back out again, bassettes are like Garfield an attatude.

German-longhair hunting dog

Howdy,
look at this nice little feller, a german-longhair hunting dog, hight 69 cm, weight 41,5 kg. This breed is one of the oldest breed`s in germany. It has a verry good nose, is a good family dog and is usable for the search for wounded or dead game (for miles ! even after 24 hour`s) and like a british pointer for hare, rabbit, pheassant and duck etc.

that if there are German Shorthair dogs, there must be German Longhair dogs too.

Good-looking dog. And great-looking Bassett too, Chrish. Are you going to send him after critters, or just enjoy his company?
