Does An FN Count As A Browning?

Depends on what model. Browning and FN did seem to be pretty close. Not only were the Browning Hi-powers made by FN, but the FAL shared some design attributes with the BAR. Not to mention Browning Arms being owned by FN.

So I'd say pretty much all Brownings are FNs, but not all FNs are Brownings. Do tell more - what did you get?

I got one question that I can't come up with an answer for. Why is there a hole that goes all the way through the gun in the middle of the cocking serrations?

Probably a retainer for the firing pin or another part of the mechanism.
