| Moderator ![]() | I read that the firing pin is somewhat frangible. I have had no problems with mine thus far, after hundreds of rounds. The trigger pull is stiff, but tolerable. The trigger shape, however, is rough on the finger with sharp edges. It is still one of the most fun pistols I own. |

| Senior Member | The trigger pull is a quick fix. Take the grips off. Remove that spring. Shorten the spring but dont overshorten. Remember that spring has to supply the hammer speed. That fixes it. In fact, that's why the firing pins break: there's way too much tension on the hammer spring. Last edited by Zen900; 02-05-2007 at 06:07 PM. |

| Senior Member | Never dry fire the CZ 52. Had one arrive with a broken firing pin tip, and I had to hunt down a cheap enough firing pin on ebay. I got a steel one that hopefully will be stronger. I heard that the OEM firing pins are pretty fragile, and that dry firing very often breaks them. You can't really weld the tip back on very easily either... lol Otherwise they're fantastic little guys. Never fire them without hearing protection though. They're extremely loud. |

| Senior Member | I put new grips on mine (black), got all the hidden cosmo out...lubed it good, popped in a new firing pin that dropped the trigger pull down to a couple pounds...and now it is one of my best/favorite pistols....plus the flame that shoots out when it is dark is worth the price of admission!

| Senior Member | Love mine. I would easily go through a case of ammo a week if I could afford it! I only fired mine once without hearing protection - the day I bought it...I was hooked. Looking at ordering a 9mm and .224 reed express barrel for it. |

| Senior Member | I bought one for my wife and when we take it to the range it makes heads turn. She loves it, she can group it within 2" at 25yds, I tend to pull it to the left and a bit down. I've put in a new firing pin and a new extractor. Have you ever seen a pistol eject a round with so much force? |
