I don't know about the parts count but, if you haven't already, you might want to just pick up a chunk of Ironwood if you can find it to see how heavy this stuff is-it can also be pretty brittle. I build grips with it occasionally and I can't even imagine how heavy a rifle stock would be. Just my .02...
