| Senior Member | This is really good info. Several months ago, I was able to find a bayonet that very closely matched my Type 99 as far as arsenal and period using these charts.

| Senior Member | Oh yeah...you are not alone!!! I bought a Nagoya made Type 99 - Series 2 about a year ago. Since, I've "accessorized" with a Nagoya early hook style bayonet, a repop sling with Nagoya markings and I even found a dust cover on ebay. I can understand why they discarded the dust cover. You might as well hang a cow bell from the rifle. I've been on a mission for a couple of years to own an example of infantry rifle from every country in WWII. It is fun because before and after the purchase I research what I'm buying. It's great history!!! Like my 7.35 Carcano that was used by the Fins(...they kicked some major Russian arse!) or a MAS 36 that was later captured by the Algerians and used against the French(...that was an atrocity filled conflict!).
