| My sons main carrie is a Glock 23 His Police issue is the next size up he hasn't had any problems with his 2 Glocks...I watched a program on the OutDoor Channell wear they through a Glock in a camp fire and after a while took it out cleaned it up and went to shooting it. It had cosmetic damage but it still funtioned. Note : Theres nothing to a Glock very few parts, you say somebody's fell apart...Hum I guess there may be a couple bad one's out there. But bottom line there one of the BEST overpriced pistols you could own They do need another safety on them if that is possible...A.H |

| Also, check out Heinie sights, they use Trijicon tritium (H3) tubes in their sights. It's what's on my G27.

| J-A-C Did your Glock come with the figure 8 Heinie sights on them when you bought it ? Taurus use's these sights on a lot if not all there pistol, I wonder if the Heinie figure 8 would work well on a leveraction rifle. Line up the two dots and KAPOW<KAPOW>KAPOW...A.H |

| At one time my old dept. had 51 detectives , including 6 women, and we were all issued Glock 30s. In five and one half years we NEVER had a malfunction, FTF, FTE or broken part on any of the Glocks. Once a female dropped her pistol on its front sight and the blade fell off. The armorer temporarlly soldered the front blade on, until permanent repairs were made. Sure there are probably some defective Glocks out there somewhere, but I have never seen one. |

Letter from Glock about possible Model 36 Issues: The Gun Zone -- Glock Model 36 Recall Glock 17 Failure: The Gun Zone -- Glock Model 17 Breaks Glock 21 Failure Glock 35 Failure: The Gun Zone -- Glock 35 kB! Another 21 Failure: The Gun Zone -- Glock Model 21 kB! #3 I've never witnessed a glock have a catastrophic failure, but I've seen countless pictures on many websites of Glocks (in various models of all calibers) have their ends and sides blown out, some injuring their shooters severely. Yeah, I'm sort of anti-glock, so my opinion is quite bias. If you want a glock, then you should get a glock. The best handgun for you is the one that you will be most confident with. As for which to conceal, the Model 36 seems like the best carry package out of the ones that you listed. | |

| I've put over 20,000 rnds through my G23 and the only part that I've replaced is the slide release spring twice, other than that it has misfired at the range and the problem was traced to a defective lazermax recoil spring, replaced it with the factory spring, and even the misfired rnd fired. I never use reloads of any kind and I trust my life with this gun, for carry I use only quality ammo that gets refreshed every yr. You may find in my carry tritons, corbons, hydrashocks, ect. For practice rnds, just blazers and federals since they're readily available in my LGS. I've never seen a catrastofic failure in any glock, but have seen some 1911 clones KB as well as some other low budget guns. Glocks are sold by the milions anualy so there may be one or two defective guns out there, but to say that if falls apart is plain BS from biased posters. Glock are so good that other manufacturers are cloning it and doing some minor modifications to claim that this is a new design, and example of this is the spingfield XHD series (I striped both side by side) which is a clone in the mechanism, not to mention that allmost every manufacturer out there is using plastic to manufacture some kind of gun. Some may not want to accept or like it, but Glock is one of the most reliable and respectable gun out there, most LEOs and federal agencies all use glock as issue gun

So, for a little objectivity, here's a pro-GLOCK site for you all to oogle: Glock 21 Torture Test - Theprepared.com If that doesn't convince you that GLOCK is a well-made gun, then there's nothing that will.

J_A_C this torture test is an abuse to that gun, it definetely proves the point that Glocks are the best handgun around, but I wouldn't ever do that to my beloved G23, I religiously clean mine after every use, and keep it well oiled (where its recomended by the manual) and it barely has a few scratches after all these yrs. After looking at this insane torture test, I'm more confident in my gun than ever. If anyone doesn't trust Glocks, it's their choice and good for them, probably they're old school, and I wish that if the time comes their gun is as reliable as Glocks have proven time and time over again.
