My most recent C&R purchase........

This is my most recent acquisition for my C&R collection, the CZ-82 pistol
in 9x18 Makarov!

Have not shot it yet but feels really comfortable in the hand.
Came with flap holster, cleaning rod, lanyard, and two twelve round mags.

Gave $220 for it and very happy with it so far, despite these are listed as
as excellent condition and with the wear and scratches I would have rated
a very good at best, but hey I'm picky that way.

Anyways it will make a nice pistol for my collection!

Congrats, Bro! I've been looking into one of those for a CCW. I like the PA-63 due to it's light weight but I prefer the higher capacity of these. Let us know what you think of it-I don't know if there is enough demand yet, but I may start building grips for them if there is.

I actually called a dealer to buy one, had my credit card out, they started to enter the order, and then told me how much I was being gouged for shipping. I immediately canceled the order, although I wanted the pistol. The $30 shipping fee was twice what it should be, so I didn't buy one.

I have been looking all over for one that doesn't charge over $30 for shipping. J&G, centerfire, classicarms, etc.... Where did you get it for $220 out the door? Let me know because I want one for my CCW gun. The best price I have seen and best shipping rates is Aimsurplus.com, is that where you got it?

Let me know how it shoots. Range report

Thumbs down Shipping hurts

Okay, sorry for any confusion, but that was the pistol price only not including
the shipping. Seems I took it on the chin there.

I ordered my CZ from Classic Arms as I have most of my C&R stuff so
when Ben told me he would get it right out via "next day UPS" I didn't
question him. Looking at my invoice I was nailed $44.20 S&H for the
pistol and two loaded 5 rd. clips for a M95 Steyr.

Of course right after ordering I found the same pistol at AIM's website
for 20 bucks less.

Oh well, if it weren't fer bad luck I'd have no luck at all.......

A word on the the high shipping prices, while rifles ship for about $15
I believe most all places ship pistols next day only (required ?) so yes
it is higher but it still sucks then if they also charge you a handling charge
it can make some of these collectibles no longer a bargain.

BTW Toolman, I don't know if you have got to hold one of these yet but
for plastic factory grips they are very comfortable, really fit the hand well!

The only requirement for next day shipping is by the shipping companies themselves so as to rip us off. There is not a government requirement for that.

BTW, I have seen Steyr clips go for as high as $10 each. I got 4 for about $13 shipped off ebay.

Interesting holster; it looks ambidextrous. Can you put the pistol in either way, depending on which side you like to carry the gun on?

Yes Troy it is, simply move extra clip and cleaning rod to other side.

I paid $3.49 for the two M95 clips with 10 rnds. of ammo (not counting
the shipping of course!)

Also the recoil spring is usually shot. Many times only one mag works well so throw in mag or mag spring replacement. They aren't really good deals. However, it is nice to be able to buy a handgun in 2007 with all metal parts except the grips and you can replace them and end up with all metal and wood which is what a gun should be. Brand new guns have plastic all in them or scintered metal.
