Introduction

Comment sa va mes amies
je m' appelle Cyrille.
Oops, perhaps I should continue this in English. I have been interested and active in the shooting sports since an uncle of mine introduced me to shooting at the tender age of seven years.
I have kept up with it through the years hunting with rifles, shotguns, pistols and archery. I gun hunted well into the 1980s then switched to archery first with a compound than switched to recurves.
In early 2005 I was introduced [once more] to firearms this time to pistols. Decided I didn't care for semi autos and went to revolvers; SA revolvers like my cowboy heros. I am saving now for a Ruger Redhawk double action revolver.
I've shot "The Holy Black" (Black powder to the uninitiated) in ss pistol, revolvers, cap & ball as well as centerfire cartridge and both modern and replica muzzleloading firearms both cap lock and flint.
I am active on two other firearms related sites and two poetry sites (Oh did I mention I'm a poet?)
I am also a retired postal worker and navy veteran, a grandfather, father and husband been the latter forever! (Can't seem to recall being single, but I suppose I was--- once!) anyway that's me in a nut-shell.

Hello and welcome. I lived in New Orleans for 4 years and never once heard anybody speak French besides the occasional french word thrown about.

I don't believe in "Giving anybody anything" except maybe applause when they deserve it; or a job so they can build their own house in time.
I and my wife have worked and saved all our lives to get where we are today, retired, and no one (save our parents) gave us anything except the chance at a job which we used to advantage.
I'm sick and tired of people who believe "the world owes them a living"
and believe also that gov't will do everything for them.
One of the top five lies in this country is "I'm here to help you; I'm from the government."

I don't believe in giving everybody everything, but I do believe in charity. I volunteer a lot and not everybody in a bad situation is a lazy bum. Nobody ever gave me anything either. All the things I have I worked through the grace of God. I'm a big believer in "we are accountable to each other."
