| Senior Member ![]() | nascar sucks. anybody can drive in a circle. If all I did every day was drive in a circle, I'd be pretty darn good at it. Maybe not a champion but, pretty darn good. ![]()

| I am a huge NHRA fan, never could get into watching NASCAR, but I sure would like to drive one of those cars.

| I lost interest in NASCAR before I was born... yano, when they stopped using stock cars from car makers to see just which one was "best". Now, drag racing and road-courses I can get into!

It's not really my cup of tea, but I have friends who love to go to the California Speedway in Fontana. Last year they kept calling in on a radio contest giving away free tickets to the 23d caller, or whatever it was, until they had won enough for the whole family to go to some big race.

| I find nascar boring, BUT I do understand the skill involved. Yeah it's driving in circles, but it's at roughly 275 mph on average. It's also the skill to out manuver your opponent while keeping yourself on the track. Its not like bumper cars or go-cart tracks. SO, that said, nascar lovers feel the same way about their shinny cars as we do about our cammoed guns. ![]() |
