| Member | marlin 336 ejector problem so i have my marlin 336 octagonal barrel lever action, mm mm nice gun, but i have a problem. today i took the bolt fully out to clean it and lube it, but i forgot about the ejector, my question is, when u put the ejector back in its place (top left of the receiver) does it snap into place, or does it sit in the receiver loose until u put the bolt back in? i just dont wanna mess anything up, and is there a trick to sticking the lever back into the receiver? it seems funky, maybe its just me. thanks guys! *EDIT* oh ya i also just remembered this little manual i have that doesnt do shit, said the ejector spring is staked into place, whats that mean? | Super Moderator ![]() | The Ejector just pushes back into the slot and make sure that the stud on the ejector is in its place in the hole in the reciever wall. Then you carefully re-install the breech bolt. The Ejector/ Spring assy. is made to be removed for cleaning and is not "Staked" !!! Rich
