M14 scope and or stock?

Hey,
Got some money now and wanting to upgrade my M1A (or buy a pistol) But i painted my stock and it hasnt worked so good also i added a Versa pod and it didnt attach so well to the stock and i realy dont like it so was thinking going with a Harris bipod, then i dont know wether to go with a high dollar stock (like Mcmillan MA3,Jallen, or maybe EBR) or just a GI stock in OD green and add my adjustable cheek piece and bipod then hopefully Get a good Scope mount (i was thinking smith) and possibly a luepold scope.
Thanks,

Since you are considering a new stock I suggest the TROY MCS.
It transforms the rifle into a flat-top M14 making it an excellent optics platform.
This is my MCS with a Millet DMS-1 and the mount is LaRue SPR-S.

I've got a fiberglass GI stock that's been painted and textured. It's been scuffed up a bit and has never had a seal coat applied but it has all the metal on it. I was going to re-spray it and ask $50.00 for it on Gun-Broker but if you want it as-is, I'll let you have it for $35.00. It was an experiment, one side was sprayed green, the other black, then it was sprayed with a faux granite finish. This gives it a slightly different color on each side. The black side is the one that's scuffed. If you are interested, let me know in the morning as I'm leaving for a few weeks. I'll try to post some pics in the morn.-the light's better.

Hey,
Thanks, But i already have a G.I stocked even though it's kinda butchered, thanks to me. But i'm looking for something a little different good for long ranges but versatile also is there any way i can get this with out spending THAT much money, Like maybe a couple hundred but i've been looking at stocks that are like $500 to $700, I'm also wanting a side arm and that kinda money can buy me that to so dont mean to be picky but just wondering if theres anything out there like that?!!!
Thanks,
