| Senior Member ![]() | A slick way to clean a .177 bore
I was looking at the little felt pellets taht came with my RWS starter kit. I thought there must be a better way, and a way I don't have to keep ordering them like a crack junkie. I'm staring at my gun cleaning box, viola! Q-Tips! Wet one end with your favorite solvent (I use Hoppes Elite) insert into chamber, push through with rod. The dry end of the Q-Tip acts as a chaser for the wet front end. I soppose you could wet both ends or leave both dry. They are a perfect fit. Best thing, I have millions around the house. I soppose it would work good for a .17 rimfire too?

I have been using the Bore Snake that I bought for my .17 HMR. I will have to give this a try.
