| Senior Member | Walker Coon Smokey: Sir; I've followed along behind 'Walkers' and enjoyed the races. Coon hunting with good quality folks and there dogs. My dogs died of ripe old ages and it has been hard for me to find some more/ I don't believe; night; wasn't meant to not hear the race. Let me know about your Hounds. Craig |

| Hell yeh! All I have is a versatile hound for birds. But all my huntin buddies have either rabbit or squirrel dogs. They get their workout come huntin season. |

| There is nothin quite like the song of a pack of red bone and bluetick hounds running hard after an wily old coon, and almost nothing finer than once the hounds are called in and a fire lit swapping lies and sipping on a bottle of rye as the hounds chew bones and scraps we brought for a reward. But like JoeLee I find it's getting harder and harder to keep up so I'll just tend the fires till the younger fellers get back and enjoy the hounds music. I haven't run behind a Grand Night Champion in so long it's almost hard to remember.

| Got a book for you tree doggers to read THE VOICE OF BUGLE ANN by MacKINLAY KANTOR, copyright 1935 Opening: "Her voice was something to dream about, on any night when she was running through the hills. The first moment she was old enough to boast an individual voice, Springfield Davies swore that she would be a great dog, and within another month he had given her the name she carried so proudly." great read. |

| Senior Member | Read "Where the Red Ferns Grow" Movie sucked because I read the Book many times. A must read. Bawling, barking, cold nosed hard headed Walkers With speed to Burn. My 'Jake' dog has gone on. Left 'Meathead' behind and she couldn't take it. Been gone for a couple of years; at night I still hear them. Should have put the Redbones were the Red Ferns dogs.
