Complete my course today

Just completed my ccw course today. Was really easy, 11 shots in a silhouette at 21 feet super easy. Only missed one on the written test cause it wasn't explained by the instructor as clearly as it could have been. Just gotta wait for my certificate now.

I am supposed to get mine on 09/06...but we'll see. I called and the deputy said it seems to be going as planned.

My CWP came in 3 weeks. The CCW class was basically just an NRA approved safety course. The shooting we did was basically just to demonstrate that we could handle the guns safely and correctly, our "targets" were just pieces of typing paper. He didn't care if we could hit them or not. As far as the CWP application, all it required was a certificate of completion of an NRA safety class.

My HCP (Handgun Carry Permit) took almost three months. They counted our hits on the silhouette. The hardest part was paying the money.

The guy I took mine from seems to think I would have everything within a month. That is good cause I hate having something that just sits at home.

I do not remember how long it took me to get my first permit in NH, but it may have been two weeks. (I just renew, now.) You go to the police station, ask for a permit, they do the background check, you pay $10 for four years. That's it. Live Free Or Die!

Just got my certificate of training from the state. Usually these things don't mean much to me but this one really makes me happy to have. I am gonna go hopefully Monday to the sheriffs office and pay the rest of my money. The sheriffs office will take a photo for 5 bucks. I think this is the best way to go to insure it will be accepted what do you guys recommend?

I don't know about how it is where you live, but we did all our shooting and paperwork/fingerprinting/photos in one day and mailed it off at our leisure. The best way to get your application accepted is to not have a criminal background I guess. Also make sure your fingerprints are good prints or else they'll come back.

Yea the only thing I am worried about is the picture I will probably just let the sheriff do it so when they send it off there will be no problems. I've passed the background check and my fingerprints should already be on file. Just ANOTHER waiting game now, I wish they would make the process faster.

Took me three weeks to get my Certificate and probably another 3 to get my actual license. Not bad But I wish it was more like getting a license. Video, shoot, test, picture, carry. Quick and easy, background check are super fast today.
