Question Any Thoughts?

Howdy,

I am considering the Model MARK II-FVXP WIth Scope and Rings, as a general plinking, target and varmint gun.

Any thoughts on the rifle?

Thanks

Talking Range Report!

Howdy,

Just a quick range report. I picked up a new savage .22 w/10 shot clip and semi cheapo Tasco 4 power scope. I went with a 954 GXP over the Mark series as I wanted the larger clip, and there were no Mark II to be found round here!

Went to the range and popped off 100 shells w/the iron sights. Not a bad grouping at 25 yds or 50 yds. I got down to under an inch at 25 and 1.5 at 50 yds.

Tomorrow we test and dial in the scope. Man what a good little plinking gun! And the price was really easy to take at about 130 tax and all!

I am very impressed with this gun and this mfr. There is a Savage 30.06 and a .270 at the shop that I will liberate one of them in the next few weeks. For me Savage is living up to their reputation of affordable, well built and deadly accurate guns.
