| I have never tried to remove the wedge from a Colt BP repro, but I have had to disassemble firearms that were bound up. I have gotten a lot of use from a stout brass rod. I bought the stock at my local Ace Hardware store and select my hammer according to need. Brass doesn't seem to mess up the finish on steel. |
