I'll be using a Beretta Xtrema2 12GA with a 28" barrel. I believe we use 7 shot...not sure though. We do put decoys, actually got them out today in the middle of a storm. We hunt from blinds. And of course we use dogs! My grandfather trains labs for duck hunting. He owns two world champion retrievers and has trained countless others. I've been training and hunting with him since the age of 4. Hopefully I'll be able to get some pictures. If I do I'll be sure I post them!

What about for you fellas...when do the seasons open up for you guys in the other states?

Right now, the Early Goose season is on until Sunday, and general Waterfowl opens the 29th of September.

Were on the tail end of early goose and teal here too. 3rd week in october is the big show.
Best of all, 2 Can limit this year. I'll probably only still shoot one, but it's nice to see the numbers come back. (I'm partial to divers)

G&G rocks, nut if you want pure waterfowl madness the Refuge is pretty darned good with state by state forums. We have managed to get sporting clay shoots, and hunts together on the IL forum.

Yeah, I do my fair share of waterfowl hunting. I use a Beretta Xtrema, and gear really varies weather I am hunting over water or land. The most important part is scouting, finding a good field or roosting pond.

Awesome picture, Jerry. I'll have to check out the Refuge...thanks for the recommendation. Haven't done too much flooded timber hunting. Only once, actually. Was a good hunt, though.
