| Buckets, Mylar Bags, O2 Absorbers
Anyone got a good source for food grade Buckets, Mylar Bags, and O2 Absorbers where you don't have to buy 1000 of them and they don't kill you with shipping. Want to get a small amount to give packaging my own food for long term storage a try. Thinking a couple of 1 GAL buckets of Rice, Beans, Sugar..... |

Try the bakery section of your grocery store. They will have the muffin mix come in one gallon buckets. Ask if they will save you some buckets and lids. Try the dumpsters behind restaurants. Seriously. They throw away all the containers that mayo, pickles, etc. come in. These are usually plastic, but some are glass. If I were going to seal them long-term and they were threaded lids, I might use a wrap of that plumber's tape that they use on threaded pipes on the mouth of the jars.
