I know how that goes, two-70. My grandfather was a police officer for a very long time. I'd always admired him. He's always been my hero. Years before I was born he responded to a domestic disturbance call and was shot from only a few feet with a 12 guage loaded with birdshot. Not sure how the equipment was then. But whether he had on a vest or not, the guy still got him pretty darned good. He was in the hospital for a while but made a full recovery and returned to duty. Didn't retire until 2001. It's scary to think about, but kind of cool because he shows me spots on him where he still has pellets coming out from under the skin. Probably one of the reasons he taught me firearm saftey very early. He took me on my first hunting trip and gave me my first shotgun, too. I'd hate to think where I'd be if he wouldn't have made it. So I have a great appreciation for all of our LEO's, firefighters, EMT's, military men, etc. I thank them as often as possible.
