stikbutter: Sir; I have researched the mess out of the Cougar 8000. Originally being a missed marketed by Beretta 8000 labeling. All tooling? was shipped to be handled at the Turkey facility for cheaper labor and reintroduced by Stoeger. Now it appears that Stoeger will have a problem marketing it. Stoeger long time 'shotgun'.
Beretta is the warranty and repair center for Cougar 8000 should a need arise.
Ever thing that I've found and read about has me wanting; either Cougar or a G17 will have a new home in the next couple of weeks.
