I am looking into a .40 S&W Carbine. I already own a Taurus 24/7 PRO .40 S&W and I like the stopping power of the round. I am looking to use this for target shooting and as a secondary home defense weapon (primarily for wild animals that bother our animals on the farm). I am in the midwest, therefore I am not looking to be able to drop a bear, but I need to be able to pick off a coyote if need be. I am also curious to the reliability of this carbine. How does the .40 S&W handle in a rifle. Does the Cx4 prefer JHP or FMJ....does it hold up well to bird shot/snake shot (Blazer carries them if you've never heard of them...it's like a small shot gun round for your pistol). Pros? Cons? General comment relating to the Cx4 in any of it's 3 calibers? Comparison to other Carbines? Value vs. Cost? Tear down and cleaning? How does it shoot? You get the idea.
