bow with holding device?

Ok I know very little about bows or bow hunting the force required 40+lbs to pull one properly is too much. I was put out to pasture by the Army after getting busted up somewhat. Here in NY I may qualify for a device that holds tension.A crossbow would be nice but as I read it only if your completely invalid and use a blow tube trigger one qualifies otherwise forbidden... now I am not that f..d up. Anyone has the scoop on how to get permits for holding devices etc? By next season it would be nice to go for deer on time with everyone else.

You need to ask your Dept. of Fish and Game how to get permits for your state. Compound bows have a light pull to deliver the same force as a 40 pound recurve.

See if one of these is legal in your state HICKORY CREEK ARCHERY PRESENTS "DRAW-LOC" - "Now Anyone Can Shoot a Compound Bow"* Compound Bows for hunting and the Draw-Loc Unit for Compound Bows . They are not legal here in AL.

Thank you, I am about to eyeball those links. Preparing for next season. I am frustrated ..My day off I was going to fire and adjust my Mosin longrifle but my back whole left side is screaming in pain and I hate to bitch and whine but I'm staying in today ..blue skies perfect and cold outside. ugh!
