|  A Pre-28 S&W Highway Patrolman Howdy I have been on the hunt awhile for a Pre-28. I have passed on a Gazillion model 28-2's as they seem to be the most popular. The Highway Patrolman was Introduced in April of 1954. It was available in a Five screw configuration only a year or so before they went to a Four screw model in 1956 and in 1957 it got it's model number stamped in the crane area like all other S&W revolvers and then they were a three screw configuration. Last weekend I came across this Early Five screw model at a gun show. it shipped in June of 1954. This is the first Five screw Pre-28 I have ever seen and it has a very smooth action, and shoots very well. Shown is a target shot at the 25 Yard line. Regards, Hammerdown    |

Hello Billy Don't be too hard on yourself. Do you have a friend that is a Good shot ? If so, Have him go along with you to the range and watch you shoot, I had a good friend that showed me why I was Pulling my shot's to the left. It was a problem with me putting Way to much of my Index finger across the trigger. He showed me how to simply use the Tip of my index finger when shooting targets and my scores came right up fast. The same friend also helped me with my Trap shooting. I was trying to aim too much at the birds, and not following through with my swing. He showed me how to simply Point and follow through with a smooth swing and my Trap scores doubled.. Just a thought for you Billy.  Hammerdown | |
