| Registered User | Is there a craigslist for guns? I was wondering if there was a site like Craigslist for private gun sales. I know there would be a lot of rules governing something like that. But it seems like somthing that should be possible. ![]() |

| Resident Armed Liberal ![]() | I've bought several guns thru gunbroker.com. Never had a problem. But I passed on a couple of other guns, because the seller either couldn't be bothered to answer my questions or didn't know what he was talking about...

| Moderator ![]() | I prefer GunsAmerica.com, as it is a "Firearms Classified" rather than an auction. The seller posts the price up front, you contact him and make your deal. He transfers the gun to your local FFL for the proper paperwork. I had one bad deal - the seller sold a gun out from under me when a 'walk in' wanted it - AFTER I sent the payment. He sent my payment back with an apology. He's off my list of good dealers. I have bought three other rifles off GA with good results. As always, "Buyer Beware" applies here as anywhere.

| Registered User | Thank you to all that replied. As for Craigslist you can post gun sales there but they get flagged for removal immediately. I was hopeing there was a site like Craigslist that has local area sales like the classifieds so you wouldn't have to mess with the ffl transfer to just sale a few unwanted guns. Again thanks guys for the input. |
