| Model 39
A buddy just bought a S&W model 39, 9mm, stainless. Its got a few superficial scratches that should polish out. The purpose of the gun is HD and once in a while at the range. I am not familiar with this pistol at all. Is it a decent shooter? Feed problems? Any comments willl be appreciated. Thanks Doc |

Smiths are generally reliable pistols, if not the most accurate. Many have lousy triggers, and there is not much that can be done economically to improve this. With good magazines and good ammunition, it should be a reliable defense gun. By the way, a stainless gun would be a 639. If it is bright silver and says 39, it is probably nickel plated, not stainless. |
