Why I Love My Sig P229

Because you have to love a weapon you can change calibers in about 15 seconds.

My dad has one.....I've never seen such a gun in action before....he killed a snake in like 5 seconds after pulling it out of the holster. It was crazy.

Don't know much about the 229 but my wife really likes the 239 she carries.

I alternate between carrying a 239 and a very light weight S&W. I took a range course with the 239, and it was flawless. I couldn't ask for a nicer smoother shooter thats also easy to carry around.
I've been wanting night sights for it, but a budddy bought a used 239 with Tritium sights and said forget it, after the first muzzle blast you can't see the sights regardless of what they are. Any comments?

Drifter,

You can get integral laser sights for the P-239 (Crimson Trace or Lasermax, but only for .40 S&W in the Lasermax because it is not adjustable). Those are definitely worth the money. They are a great training aid for instinctive "point shooting" as well as a great way to aim in low light at a 'target' whose hands you need to watch instead of the sight on your gun. They are pricey, though.
